New Bradford coach Rohan Smith has returned to Australia to make Kieren Moss his first signing for the club.

Parramatta Eels full-back Kieren Moss, 22, has joined the Bulls on an 18-month deal and will arrive in time for Sunday's Kingstone Press Championship match against Dewsbury.

Smith coached Moss during his time at Penrith Panthers and believes he will be suited to the English game.

"Kieren is a really good young man and has a lot of ability," said Smith, son of former Bradford coach Brian Smith who succeeded James Lowes as head coach at Odsal last month.

"He performed strongly over several seasons in the under-20s competition in Australia with Penrith and then moved into the NSW Cup team with them as well.

"I feel the English game will suit him and allow him to take his game to another level."

Moss was a member of Penrith's title-winning NSW Cup team in 2014 and joined Parramatta last August but failed to break into their NRL team.

"It's very exciting to start a new chapter of my career at Bradford," said Moss.

"It is going to be a big change for myself moving away from Australia and home, but I think it is for the best. I'm very happy to be a part of Bradford Bulls and hopefully I'll be able to do some good things with the lads.

"I've always admired what Rohan has done and I think he is a really, really smart coach and I just love what he does.

"Bradford is such a notable club with its history plus having Rohan as the coach sealed the deal for me."
