Team GB have unveiled their brand new kit for this summer's Olympics as Rio marks 100 days until the Games.

Designer Stella McCartney - who was also responsible for the London 2012 outfits - created the sportswear which will be worn by Britain's squad in Rio.

McCartney's latest creation is designed 10 per cent lighter in a bid to improve performance and includes a new official and unique British Coat of Arms commissioned by sportswear giant adidas.

Olympic heptathlon champion Jessica Ennis-Hill, double gold medallist Laura Trott and diving star Tom Daley were consulted during the design process and were on hand to model the new outfits at Wednesday's launch.

"I've really enjoyed being a part of the creative process with Stella McCartney and adidas," said Ennis-Hill.

"It's an amazing design and I think it will give British athletes a massive sense of pride and give us an edge in Rio.

McCartney said: "The goal for Rio 2016 was to rewrite the rules of performance and design for athletes, allowing them to look and feel like champions on and off the field.

"The inspiration behind the design was this idea of contrasting British tradition with a modern attitude.
