After huge scores were racked up in Indianapolis, New Orleans and Tampa Bay, there were some great scoring fantasy players. Sky Sports assesses the best in each position.

Quarterback - Andrew Luck

Deep into the second quarter, Luck had negative points as the Indianapolis Colts trailed the Detroit Lions 21-3. However, an inspired second-half comeback, led by Luck, produced four touchdowns and 385 yards. The Colts may have lost the game 39-35, but fantasy owners who put Luck on their roster probably didn't lose theirs.

Wide Receiver - Brandin Cooks and Willie Snead

New Orleans Saints receivers Cooks and Snead had field days against the Oakland Raiders, the pair combining for over 300 yards and three touchdowns. Cooks, who scored twice in a 35-34 victory, added his name to Saints' folklore, combining with Drew Brees to score a 98-yard TD, the longest in Saints history.

Running back - DeAngelo Williams

Filling in for the suspended Le'Veon Bell, many fantasy owners would have handcuffed both players and brought Williams in for the season opener. Those owners were rewarded as Williams ran for 143 yards and two touchdowns as the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Washington Redskins 38-16.

Five field goals, including two from beyond the 50-yard line, kept the Dallas Cowboys in their match up against New York Giants right until the end. Bailey is a safe boot to have on your roster; he is statistically the best kicker in NFL history.

Defense - Minnesota Vikings

Two defensive touchdowns, two sacks and two recovered fumbles were critical as the Vikings' fought back against the Tennessee Titans to record a 25-16 triumph, rewarding Minnesota fans and fantasy owners alike.
