The Green Bay Packers are yet to make a decision on when Aaron Rodgers will return to action.

Rodgers suffered a broken collarbone in week six of the season against the Minnesota Vikings and was placed on injured reserve (IR).

It was originally thought that the 33-year-old two-time NFL MVP would miss the rest of the season, although there remained hope he would return for the play-offs, if the Packers make it.

The 7-6 Packers are third in the NFC North but have an outside chance of still making the post-season.

The quarterback is eligible to return against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday and underwent tests on Monday, which are now being evaluated by medical staff.

Packers head coach Mike McCarthy has refused to put a date on the Rodgers' likely return.

"There's a number of scans, testing that went on this morning," McCarthy said. "It's now in the evaluation stage.
