Russell Wilson threw two touchdown passes to Jimmy Graham as the Seattle Seahawks edged out the Arizona Cardinals 22-16 on Thursday night, in a game marred by a host of injuries.
At least seven players left the game with injuries, including Seattle cornerback Richard Sherman, who limped off the field in the third quarter with a heel injury and was later ruled out for the rest of the season.
And, despite being sacked a season-high five times, Wilson completed 22 of 32 passes for 238 yards, finding tight end Graham twice when down near the goal line, in the first and fourth quarter.
As for the Cardinals, Adrian Peterson was limited to just 29 yards on 21 carries - Kam Chancellor forced a Peterson fumble on Arizona's first offensive play and later tackled him in the endzone for a safety.
Quarterback Drew Stanton, in his second start since Carson Palmer went down with a broken arm, completed 24 of 47 for 273 yards and a touchdown, with wide receiver great Larry Fitzgerald catching 10 of those passes for 113 yards, topping 15,000 yards for his career in the process.
The night's big play came early in the fourth quarter. With the Seahawks leading 15-10, Wilson scrambled and spun his way out of serious trouble repeatedly before throwing to Doug Baldwin, who raced downfield on a 54-yard play - Graham then hauled in a two-yard TD on the next play.
Kerwynn Williams scored on a one-yard touchdown run with 20 seconds to play to pull the Cardinals back within six of Seattle, but the visitors recovered the onside kick attempt to seal the win.
The Seahawks have now won on four of their last five trips to Arizona - last year's 6-6 tie the only exception - and move to 6-3 on the season, while the Cardinals drop back to 4-5 in the NFC West.
