Jay Ajayi can't pick NFL Championship Sunday winners

Miami Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi believes that this year's play-offs are so tight that he couldn't pick a winner from the final four teams remaining.

The London-born running back was back in the UK as part of the NFL UK fan forum tour, hosted by Sky Sports analysts Neil Reynolds and Jeff Reinebold.

"I'm not sure who comes out on top, I'm excited to watch the games, like everyone else. All the match-ups are pretty good," he said.

Championship Sunday begins at 7:40pm on Sky Sports 1, with the Green Bay Packers taking on the Atlanta Falcons, before the New England Patriots host the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Though Ajayi struggled to split the teams, he did highlight the quality of leadership from each team's quarterback.

"The quarterback position is so huge for the team - they're the players that usually lead the team, and in play-off time, that's when your leaders need to step up and play big-time football," Ajayi said.

"For the rest of the teams left, they all have great quarterbacks who lead their teams to victories, so it's going to be interesting to see who gets their team to the Super Bowl, and who gets it done."

Having helped Miami to their first play-off appearance since 2008, Ajayi and the Dolphins were knocked out by the Steelers in Wild Card Weekend. He reflected on what it was like trying to break down the Pittsburgh defence, as well as division rival New England.

'Steelers can win the Super Bowl'

Cameron Heyward talks of his journey, from Steelers fan to killer bee.

Ajayi said: "The Patriots have a great defence. They do a lot of good things, some good interior linemen that do a good job of stopping the run. They make it really tough to run.

"Pittsburgh are very similar - a very good defensive line and aggressive linebackers. They did a good job against us in the play-offs. I felt like priority No 1, that they weren't going to let me run that day.

"I think it will come down to who makes the least mistakes, who can run the ball on the ground and control the clock. Whichever team can do that will win this game."
