Highlights of the Philadelphia Eagles victory over the New York Giants in week 16 of the NFL

The Philadelphia Eagles spoiled New York's party with a 24-19 win, delaying the Giants' play-off confirmation. Giants quarterback Eli Manning threw three interceptions - one returned for a touchdown - and must wait for other results to find out if they have a place in the post-season this weekend.

Game-changer

Despite a poor performance, it looked as though Manning might lead his team to victory on the last play of the game. Throwing conservatively, Manning found receivers on the edge, who darted out of bounds to stop the clock and preserve time.

However, with under 15 seconds to go, the two-time Super Bowl champion threw a rainbow downfield, which was picked off by Terrence Brooks to end the night.

Stat of the night

19 - Though the Giants offence continues to sputter, Odell Beckham Jr can't fail to impress. Having been selected for his third Pro Bowl in as many seasons in the NFL, Beckham totalled 150 yards, just 13 less than the entire Eagles offence.

He now has 19 100+-yard games, tying Randy Moss for the most by a wide receiver in their first three seasons. He also tied with Hall of Fame receiver Lance Alworth, reaching 4,000 career yards in 42 games.

The game

Philadelphia took an early lead, utilising the run game to go 78 yards in seven plays. Darren Sproles, who returned from injury this week, completed the drive with a 25-yard run, darting to the right hand sideline and into the end zone.

The Eagles doubled their advantage three plays later as Jenkins intercepted a pass intended for Will Tye and sprinted back 34 yards to make it 14-0.

New York twice found their way into the red zone, but were forced to settle for field goals on both occasions.

It was the Eagles who scored next, their third touchdown before half time. Taking advantage of a 15-yard penalty on Giants cornerback Eli Apple, Carson Wentz then threw a 40-yard pass deep to Nelson Agholor, who found space to catch and step into the end zone.

The Giants responded with a 12-play, 84-yard drive of their own, to make the score 21-13 going into half time. Victor Cruz gained 37 yards on two plays, before Manning threw 12 yards to the centre of the field for Sterling Shepard.

Robbie Gould added a field goal for the visitors early in the second half, to make it a one-score game, but another Manning interception cost New York time and points, as Philadelphia added a field goal of their own.

Gould made it 24-19 with his fourth kick of the night, and it looked as though New York might steal it on the last drive, but Brooks' interception with less than a minute to go sealed victory for the 6-9 Eagles.

Defeat in Philadelphia leaves the Giants with a 10-5 record, but Ben McAdoo's team could still clinch play-off qualification in week 16, if any of the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers or Atlanta Falcons lose.
