Los Angeles Rams head coach Jeff Fisher has been rewarded with a two-year extension to his contract, running through till 2018.
Fisher is in his fifth season with the Rams, with the first four while the franchise was based in St Louis, and he has presided over a 31-43-1 record in that time.
Before then, Fisher led the Tennessee Titans for 15 years, including taking them to Super Bowl XXXIV in 2000, where they lost 23-16 to the Rams.
But while with the Rams, Fisher is yet to coach the team to a winning record, and the franchise itself has failed to make the playoffs since 2004.
In addition to Fisher, the Rams also have signed general manager Les Snead to a contract extension beyond 2017.
Rams spokesman Artis Twyman confirmed the move before Sunday's game against the New England Patriots.
Twyman said he couldn't comment on terms of the deal though. He said: "I think that's something coach Fisher will discuss after the game."
The Rams are currently 4-7 this season, sitting third in the NFC West division.
