Richard Graves and Cincinnati Bengals fans make their NFL predictions

It was a tough opening weekend in the predictions for Sky Sports News reporter Richard Graves, who was beaten by the Jaguars UK fan base. While Richard managed a playoff-worthy 10-6 record, the Jaguars went 11-5 to take week one for the fans.

It's a new week and Richard will be hoping to level his record, and this time he takes on the Cincinnati Bengals UK fans @whodey_UK. Who will come out on top this week?

New York Jets @ Buffalo Bills (Friday, 1:30am Sky Sports 1)

Richard: An AFC East clash to kick off week two and a game that both teams are desperate to win after opening game losses. The key to this game is pass rush, and which offense can handle it better. The status of wide receiver Sammy Watkins (foot) is something to keep an eye on in a week with a short turnaround. If he is limited or doesn't suit up, the Bills offense loses its deep threat and that is only likely to encourage a Jets defense with an appetite for getting to the quarterback.

If Buffalo are to win this game, they'll need Tyrod Taylor to be at his best, making quick, decisive decisions and getting the ball out of his hands early. That could result in a big game for running back LeSean McCoy.

Coming into this game though, the New York Jets appear to be the more balanced of these two teams - on both sides of the ball. A raucous crowd on Thursday night will give Buffalo a significant home field advantage, however the experience and guile of the Jets should see them through. Jets.

Whodey: Not an easy game for the Jets vs their former head coach Rex Ryan. Despite the loss to the Bengals in week one, their defensive front was exceptional and will cause Tyrod Taylor all sorts of problems.

Another close divisional game but we fancy Todd Bowles' team to get back to 1-1. Jets

Cincinnati Bengals @ Pittsburgh Steelers (Sunday, 5:30pm Sky Sports 2)

Richard: Let's not dress this match up. These two teams just flat out don't like each other. Tempers flared when they met in the post season last year and the way that game ended left a sour taste in the mouths of the Bengals players which they are still struggling to forget.

Cincinnati need to protect QB Andy Dalton better. True, the Jets have one of the best pass rushing units in the NFL but allowing your quarterback to be sacked seven times is not generally a recipe for success. They also need to establish a running game if they are to beat the Steelers. As a team, the Bengals rushed for only 57 yards in week 1!

Image: Andy Dalton will need better protection than he had against the Jets, where he was sacked seven times

These are two good teams who should both be in the shake up come the end of the season. Ultimately this comes down to a gut feeling with home field advantage proving significant. Steelers.

Whodey: Steelers week! The outcome of this game will heavily depend on how the Bengals secondary copes with Antonio Brown.

AJ Green made light work of Datrelle Revis last week and now faces an inferior secondary. This will be a close one, but we're going to back Cincinnati to go 2-0 in the Steel City. Bengals

Seattle Seahawks @ Los Angeles Rams (Sunday, 9:25pm Sky Sports 2)

Richard: The LA Rams weren't just bad on Monday night - they stunk the place out! If this is the type of football Los Angeles has been waiting 22 years to see, they may want to send it back. Already the pressure is growing on this team. A sell out crowd of nearly 90,000 fans is expected for their first game back in LA, the Rams better turn in a much-improved performance or that fan base will soon make their feelings known.

Image: Can Richard Sherman and the Seahawks shut out the L.A Rams?

Not ideal then, that their first opponents at home are the divisional rivals Seattle Seahawks, who themselves weren't impressive in week one, but they ground out the win over Miami. Of concern will be the ankle sprain picked up by QB Russell Wilson. That could affect his mobility but already he's been declared good to go. Expect the Seattle defense to load up against the run. If, as the 49ers were able to do, Todd Gurley's threat can be negated, the legion of boom could be in for a big day. Seahawks

Whodey: The Rams return to LA and they'll be eager to get off to a winning start. They were shut out against the 49ers and we don't see things getting much better for them this week. Seahawks

Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings (Monday, 1:30am Sky Sports 2)

The top two teams in the NFC North from a year ago come together in week two as the first game inside Minnesota's brand new stadium, the site for Super Bowl LII.

At the time of writing there's no word on who'll start at QB for Minnesota this week but don't be surprised if Sam Bradford gets the nod. The Vikings know defense won't be enough to see them past the Packers, they'll need to score points as well.

Expect Green Bay to emulate the tactics employed by the Tennessee Titans, loading up against Adrian Peterson who was held to just 31 yards off 19 carries, and forcing Minnesota to move the ball through the air.

Image: Adrian Peterson struggled in week one and will be targeted by the Pittsburgh Steelers defense

The Vikings' new home will be loud but Minnesota need to resolve their quarterback problems before they can take over Green Bay. Packers

Whodey: The Vikings will face a much sterner test this week. Sadly for our former defensive coordinator (Vikings head coach) Mike Zimmer, the Packers will have too much on offense and will take the win. Packers

Philadelphia Eagles @ Chicago Bears (Tuesday, 1:30am Sky Sports 1)

Richard: Rookie Carson Wentz lit up Philadelphia on his NFL debut, finishing with two touchdown passes and 278 yards with no interceptions. Admittedly the opposition was Cleveland but that's an impressive way to announce yourself in professional football. This week is unlikely to be so straight forward.

Image: Carson Wentz threw two touchdowns in his first NFL start and will be hoping for more against the Bears

Wherever John Fox has coached, he's built good defensive teams and that appears to be taking shape in Chicago. Soldier Field is never an easy place to go as an opposing QB and we can expect the Bears defense to give Wentz some unfamiliar looks. Look for an intimidating crowd to play their part as well.

Equally interesting will be how the Eagles defense plays against wide receiver Alshon Jeffery. They gave up a couple of big plays to Terelle Pryor last weekend and Jeffery is a much more polished receiving threat. That being said, the Bears will need to protect their quarterback better, as Jay Cutler was sacked five times in Houston. Bears

Whodey: We think the Bears will rough up the Eagles and give Wentz a hard time. Cutler has the ability to pick apart this Eagles D and lead the Bears to victory. Bears

Keep track of all the picks below as we see whether Richard can level the series. Sky Sports is your home of the NFL with five games this week including Monday and Thursday nights, then settle in for a triple header every Sunday from 5:30pm.
