Jacksonville Jaguars

Head Coach: Gus Bradley

Key Man: Allen Robinson had a breakout year at wide receiver, finishing the season as receiving touchdown leader and making the Pro Bowl. Jags fans expect big things.

Major Additions: One of the biggest spenders in the NFL, the Jaguars have looked to fix a broken defense with proven talent in Super Bowl winner Malik Jackson, safety Tashaun Gipson, and tackle Kelvin Beachum. Chris Ivory also gives the running game another option.

Last Season: After high hopes, the Jaguars lost their 1st round pick Dante Fowler Junior for the season, on the first day of rookie minicamp. This summed up the season as the franchise struggled for consistency and finished 5-11.

Image: Blake Bortles is aiming to lead the Jaguars to a first playoff appearance since 2007

Prospects: After an active free agency, the Jaguars have strengthened their defense, bringing in a raft of proven veterans. The Jags drafted Jalen Ramsey and Myles Jack, both projected top five talents, and if all can stay healthy, the defense is sure to be much improved. Third year QB Blake Bortles has continued to mature but must reduce the amount of interceptions if he is to utilise a talented wide receiver group.

Indianapolis Colts

Head Coach: Chuck Pagano

Key Man: The highest paid player in the history of the NFL, all eyes are on Andrew Luck to bounce back from an injury-plagued season and lead the Colts back to January football.

Image: Andrew Luck is looking to bounce back after a disappointing 2015 season

Major Additions: After a relatively quiet free agency, the main addition of cornerback Patrick Robinson will help a leaky defense.

Last Season: Injury to Luck and a disastrous defensive campaign saw the Colts finish 8-8 and miss the playoffs.

Prospects: 2015 was a terrible year for the Colts by their standards, and they still won eight games. With the most valuable player in NFL history under centre, fans will be hoping Luck can stay injury free and produce the 2014 form that saw him elected to the Pro Bowl. However, the defence is still weak, and the rest of the division appears to be making strides. The offense will have to score a lot of points for this team to succeed.

Prediction: 2nd (9-7)

Tennessee Titans

Head Coach: Mike Mularkey

Key Man: After a disappointing season in Philadelphia, DeMarco Murray joined the Titans looking to recapture 2014 form. Alongside rookie Derrick Henry, the 'thunder and thunder' running game could be powerful in Nashville.

Image: Rookie running back Derrick Henry won the Heisman Trophy and has performed well in preseason

Major Additions: As well as Murray and Henry, the titans are looking for consistency at centre in the form of Ben Jones. Rookie wide receiver Tajae Sharp has received plaudits for his preseason form.

Last Season: After a disastrous season, Mike Mularkey must be wondering how he kept his job. A 3-13 campaign was the worst in the NFL, despite some promise from rookie QB Marcus Mariota.

Image: Marcus Mariota impressed in his rookie season

Prospects: The combination of Jones's arrival and Mariota's experience will lift the Titans, but the question remains whether Mularkey's run-heavy coaching philosophy can succeed in a throwing league.

Prediction: 3rd (6-10)

Houston Texans

Head Coach: Bill O'Brien

Key Man: Linebacker JJ Watt has been the heart of this defense since his arrival in 2011. However, back surgery with no confirmed date of return could be a major setback for the Texans.

Image: The fortunes of the Texans rely on JJ Watt returning to full fitness

Major Additions: After crashing out of the playoffs, owner Bob McNair demanded a franchise quarterback. GM Rick Smith has put his faith in Brock Osweiler to lead the franchise back to the playoffs. The addition of running back Lamar Miller gives Osweiler a safety net to hand off to.

Last Season: With a quarterback battle that rumbled on well into the season, the Texans got off to a rocky start before pulling ahead to lead the division. However, they were crushed 30-0 by the Chiefs in the Wild Card game and their season was over.

Image: Having moved from Denver to Houston, all eyes will be on Texans QB Brock Osweiler

Prospects: The Texans invested heavily in former Broncos backup Osweiler, and will be relying on him to be an upgrade on Brian Hoyer from week 1. Miller comes in to replace Arian Foster, and the team possess raw speed in rookie wide receiver Will Fuller. The danger is that this team requires a year for all the new pieces to gel. With Watt a question mark, it could be a tough season for Houston.
