Standout defensive tackle Fletcher Cox agreed Monday to a six-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles that could earn him nine figures.

The deal is worth $103m with $63m in guaranteed money, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

One of the NFL's most versatile defensive linemen, he has 308 tackles and 22 sacks in his four pro seasons, since the eagles selected him with the 12th overall pick in the 2012 draft.

Cox, 25, did not attend the team's organised offseason activities, but returned to the teams last week.

Last season, Cox started all 16 games for the third straight year and earned his first career Pro Bowl berth after setting single-season career highs in total tackles (104), solo tackles (80), tackles for a loss (16.5), sacks (9.5) and forced fumbles (three).

His 22 career sacks are the sixth most by an interior defensive lineman in franchise history.
