Washington Redskins @ Kansas City Chiefs: Monday Night NFL on Sky Sports

Kansas City Chiefs wonderman Kareem Hunt looks to continue his stunning rookie season on Monday Night Football against the Washington Redskins.

Washington Redskins travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs in Week Four's Monday Night Football action, live on Sky Sports.

Andy Reid's Chiefs (3-0) attempt to be the only team undefeated through four weeks of the season when they take on the 2-1 Redskins on Monday Night Football.

Kansas City rookie running back Kareem Hunt has been the talk of the NFL, his astonishing 401 rushing yards leading the league. Similarly, quarterback Alex Smith is playing lights out football - he has thrown seven touchdowns compared to zero interceptions, and leads the league with a 132.7 passer rating.

But, after a tough NFC East loss against Philadelphia in Week One, Washington have come out hot in their past two contests. RB Chris Thompson leads the team in both rushing and receiving yards, and QB Kirk Cousins was on fire in wins against the Los Angeles Rams and Oakland Raiders.

So, what can we expect when the two meet under the Monday night lights? We are live on Sky Sports Action (407) from 1.15am...

Image: Kansas City offensive tackle Eric Fisher could miss out on Monday Night Football

The Chiefs have a number of key question marks ahead of the game. Starting left tackle Eric Fisher missed practice all week with a back injury and his status for the game is in doubt. Similarly, linebacker Dee Ford wasn't available during practice either.

Kansas City will also have a new kicker on Monday as Cairo Santos suffered an injury and was waived during the week, and rookie Harrison Butker was signed from Carolina Panthers' practice squad.

Five Washington starters were questionable on the injury report for the game, but linebacker Mason Foster will be the biggest miss if he doesn't travel. The Redskins have had success without tight end Jordan Reed a number of times, but it would be a boost if he can return.

Stat attack

Hunt is the first player in NFL history to have a 50-plus yard touchdown in his first three games. His 538 yards from scrimmage are the second-most through three games of all time.

Key battle

The Redskins have the second-most stingy run defence this season, and have only surrendered 62.3 yards per game. On the other side, the Chiefs, led by Hunt, are the NFL's best with 162 rushing yards per game.

Without Fisher, will Kansas City be able to continue their success running the football or will Washington be the first team to limit the rookie phenomenon?

Game-changer

Image: Redskins running back Chris Thompson had a great game in the Week Three win over the Raiders

Chris Thompson could be the first Redskin to score a touchdown in four straight games since Alfred Morris in 2012 if he finds the endzone on Monday. On only 27 touches so far this year, Thompson has run for 119 yards (8.5 yards per carry - the same average as Kareem Hunt) and had 231 yards through the air (17.8 yards per catch).

With top wideout Terrelle Pryor struggling to adjust to his new team, and the running back duo Robert Kelley and Samaje Perine unable to move the ball well on the ground, Thompson will be utilised all over the field.
