NFL round-up: Buffalo Bills earn shock win over Arizona Cardinals

​​​​​​​Buffalo Bills earned a first win of the season with an upset 33-18 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.

LeSean McCoy scored twice, while safety Aaron Williams returned a botched field-goal snap 53 yards for a touchdown.

McCoy finished up with 110 yards rushing after combining for just 117 in his first two games, while Buffalo's defence also bounced back from disappointing early season showings by intercepting Carson Palmer on each of the Arizona's final four possessions.

The Minnesota Vikings also pulled off a surprise 22-10 win over the Carolina Panthers, snapping their 14-game winnings streak at home in Charlotte.

Sam Bradford threw a touchdown pass to Kyle Rudolph, and Marcus Sherels returned a punt for a score to help send the Vikings to 3-0 on the season.

The Vikings defence put the clamps on Cam Newton, intercepting the league's reigning MVP three times and sacking him eight times, one of those resulting in a safety by Danielle Hunter.

Aaron Rodgers threw for 205 yards and four touchdowns, including two in the first half to Jordy Nelson, as the Green Bay Packers held off a spirited fightback by the Detroit Lions for a 34-27 win.

Rodgers was 15 of 24, leading the Packers to touchdowns on their first three series, while Nelson had 101 yards on six catches plus those two scores.

The Packers led 31-10 at the half before the Lions slowly chipped away at their lead. Lions receiver Marvin Jones had a career-high 205 yards on six receptions including a 35-yard touchdown - his second on the night - to bring Detroit within seven late in the fourth quarter.

Russell Wilson threw for 243 yards and a touchdown before suffering a left knee injury as the Seattle Seahawks rolled to a 37-18 rout of the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

Wilson was injured with about 10 minutes to go in the third quarter getting pulled down awkwardly on a sack by San Francisco's Eli Harold and ended up leaving the field.

Rookie Trevone Boykin took over and threw the first touchdown of his career to Doug Baldwin, who finished with eight catches for a career-high 164 yards.

Washington Redskins won their first game of the 2016 season by edging out NFC East divisional rivals New York Giants 29-27 in a thriller, live on Sky.

A highly-strung Odell Beckham Jr hauled in 121 yards on seven receptions for the Giants in his highly anticipated re-match with cornerback Josh Norman.

The lead changed hands five times in a second half that see-sawed after Washington rallied from a 21-9 deficit thanks to two Kirk Cousins touchdown passes.

In the second live Sky game of the evening, Philadelphia Eagles ran out comfortable 34-3 winners over Pittsburgh Steelers to go top of the NFC East.

The Eagles never looked threatened by the Pittsburgh offence, and rookie quarterback Carson Wentz led his team to their third win of the season on the back of a two-TD display, the second of which was a 73-yard strike to Darren Sproles.

Trevor Siemian threw a career-high four touchdown passes in his first road start to rally the Denver Broncos to a 29-17 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.

The defending Super Bowl champions move to 3-0 under Siemian, who threw for 312 yards on 23 completions out of 35 passing attempts.

Justin Tucker kicked a 54-yard field goal with only a minute remaining to lift the Baltimore Ravens to a 19-17 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Jaguars slip to 0-3 for the third time in the last four years as they prepare for their game at Wembley next Sunday.

There they'll play the Indianapolis Colts, who got their first win of the season as Andrew Luck connected with TY Hilton on a 63-yard touchdown pass with just over a minute to play to see off the San Diego Chargers 26-22.

Luck finished 24 of 37 for 331 yards with one TD and one interception to earn his 15th career come-from-behind win.

London-born Jay Ajayi scored on an 11-yard run in overtime as the Miami Dolphins escaped with a 30-24 win over the Cleveland Browns.

Cleveland started Cody Kessler at quarterback, making him the third player in as many weeks to hold that job for the Browns, and the fifth in their last five games going back to last season.

The Los Angeles Rams overcame a weather delay which stopped play with two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 37-32. While, Derek Carr threw for 249 yards and a touchdown as the Oakland Raiders beat the Tennessee Titans 17-10.

The Chicago Bears slipped to 0-3 after losing 31-17 on the road to the Dallas Cowboys. Dak Prescott threw his first touchdown pass, to Dez Bryant, and also ran in a score, to lift the Cowboys to 2-1 for the season.
