Quad Series: England Roses take on Australia, New Zealand and South Africa

Tracey Neville has been putting the England netball squad through 'pressure training sessions' ahead of their Quad Series opener against Australia

England have their sights set on the Commonwealth Games and the world No 1 spot as they prepare for the upcoming Quad Series.

The Roses take on Australia, New Zealand and South Africa over two weeks of high-intensity competition with the end game next summer's Commonwealth Games.

Having run the Aussie Diamonds so close at Wembley in February, Tracey Neville has been putting her team through their paces at a special training camp in Loughborough.

With plenty of fans invited to watch, the idea is to try and recapture a sample of the excitement and environment that will face the Roses in Brisbane, Auckland and Invercargill.

"When we play in front of a crowd in a Test match it is a very different feeling and we try to recreate that in training," England captain Ama Agbeze told Sky Sports News.

"It doesn't have to be 10,000 people and it is also great to engage with the fans and let them see into our world a little bit - it's good for them and us too.

"We are as good as them, we just need to have the collective belief to beat them on court on the day."

Neville remains as ambitious as ever and, while acknowledging Commonwealth gold is on the agenda, was bullish when asked about the goal of potentially become the top ranked team in the world.

"You say can - they will be No 1 - and we want that to be this year," Neville said.

"It comes from belief in the team. Mentally they have come here [to the training camp] with a winning and positive attitude.

That is all we can take into this Test series. the confidence and belief in each other. We have to strive to be the best we possibly can and this is how it needs to be leading into the Commonwealth Games."
