Jeremy Lamb hit a desperation 48-foot three-pointer at the buzzer to give the Charlotte Hornets a 115-114 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Sunday night.
After the Raptors trailed by 14 points less than a minute into the fourth quarter, Kawhi Leonard gave them the lead on a jumper with 45 seconds left, then made a block at the other end.
But the Hornets had one big play left in them.
With 3.1 seconds on the clock, the ball was inbounded to Lamb, but Pascal Siakam managed to knock it back into the Hornets half.
Lamb gathered the ball with little more than a second remaining and had no option but to heave the ball towards the basket, where it kissed the backboard and dropped in.
The stunned Toronto crowd let out a roar of shock as the ball dropped in, as Lamb was mobbed by the Hornets, who secured a crucial third straight win as they chase a playoff position.
