Klay Thompson set an NBA record by connecting on his first 10 three-point attempts of the game as the Golden State Warriors trounced the Los Angeles Lakers 130-111 at Staples Center.
Thompson erupted for 44 points on 17-of-20 shooting as the defending NBA champions rolled to their eighth straight win.
The Warrriors' sharp-shooter went 3-for-3 from three-point range in the first half but saved his very best for the third quarter. Thompson hit his first seven attempts from beyond the arc in the third quarter, pouring in 23 points in the first seven minutes of the period.
His first (and only) miss from downtown came shortly before he left the game for good with 3:47 remaining in the third quarter with a 90.9 three-point percentage (10-of-11).
