DeMarcus Cousins made a statement early in his Golden State debut, hammering home a thunderous dunk as the Warriors rolled to victory against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Cousins, who missed nearly a year of action because of an Achilles injury, had to wait just 86 seconds to get his first points and he did it in style, linking up with Kevin Durant on a pick-and-roll play.
Durant used Cousins' screen on Clippers defender Tobias Harris to free himself on the right wing. Cousins then rolled towards the basket and Durant delivered a bounce pass to him in stride.
With the lane wide open and the Clippers' basket at his mercy, Cousins took two steps and jammed home a thunderous right-handed dunk, roaring in celebration afterwards.
Cousins went on to drain a trio of three-pointers as he finished the game with 14 points, six rebounds and three assists. He fouled out of the game after 15 minutes on court as the Warriors eased to a 112-94 victory, their seventh successive win.
