Rodney Hood moves from Cleveland Cavaliers to Portland Trail Blazers in three-player trade

The Portland Trail Blazers have acquired swingman Rodney Hood from the Cleveland Cavaliers in a three-player trade.

In exchange, the Blazers will send guards Nik Stauskas and Wade Baldwin IV - and their expiring contracts - to Cleveland, along with two future second-round draft picks.

"Rodney is an accomplished NBA player that brings versatility, shot making and depth to our perimeter and will fit seamlessly into our culture and style of play," said Portland's president of basketball operations Neil Olshey.

The 26-year-old leaves a team near the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings to join a Portland team in fourth place in the Western Conference.

Former first-round pick Hood, who is in his fifth NBA season, has started 45 games for the Cavaliers this season and is averaging 12.2 points and 2.5 rebounds.

Stauskas, 25, averaged 6.1 points in 44 games this season for Portland. Baldwin, 22, played in 16 games for the Blazers and averaged 1.9 points.
