Joel Embiid was at his dominant best as he supplied 42 points and 18 rebounds in the Philadelphia 76ers' 132-127 win over the Phoenix Suns.
Embiid's scoring haul came on 12-of-23 shooting, including a single three-pointer. He had an impact on the defensive end too, nabbing three steals and two blocks.
Embiid registered his league-best 33rd double-double and his league-leading 26th game with at least 20 points and 10 rebounds. He also became the first player to post at least 30 points and 14 rebounds in a half since Carlos Boozer on March 26, 2007, doing so before half-time.
The charismatic Cameroonian center's best moment came in the final minute of the first quarter.
After receiving the ball at the top of the three-point arc, Embiid drove hard into the lane, produced a deft side-step to flummox Suns defender Richaun Holmes before elevating and hammering home a powerful right-handed slam.
