John Wall was in dazzling form as his 40 points led the Washington Wizards to a huge win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Wizards beat LeBron James' Lakers 128-110 on Sunday night with Wall netting 40 points with 14 assists and six rebounds.
Wall turned in a dominant first half, dropping 28 points as the Wizards held a big lead at the break. The Wizards were 26-8 up early on thanks to Wall's lay-up and he ended the half with a baseline jumper over 7'1'' center Tyson Chandler to make it 71-51.
Nothing the Lakers tried to slow Wall worked as the Wizards emphatically ended a four-game losing streak, going up by 27 points in the third quarter.
Wall finished it off in style, stepping into an open three-pointer from the top of the arc to give him a season-high 40 points.
