LA Clippers player Patrick Beverley had an eventful evening, as he knocked Dennis Smith Jr's tooth out before being ejected for throwing the ball at a fan

Los Angeles Clippers guard Patrick Beverley was ejected for throwing the ball at a Dallas Mavericks during his side's defeat on Sunday night.

Following the game, Beverley accused the fan he threw the ball at of cursing his mother during the heated contest, of which he was thrown out early in the fourth quarter.

Beverley had earlier knocked out the tooth of his opposing number Dennis Smith Jr. during a scramble for the ball on the ground.

Smith had the final say, as his block and free throws closed out victory for the surging Mavericks, who have won eight of their last 10 games.
