Los Angeles Lakers guard Lonzo Ball has said he will not miss any games after suffering a left ankle sprain during his side's defeat to the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old missed most of the second half after falling over a Nuggets player who was on the floor shortly before half-time.
With the Lakers' other point guard Rajon Rondo already absent with a fractured right hand, Ball started the second half but was withdrawn soon after.
"I mean, I wanted to play," said Ball, whose x-rays came back negative after the game.
"Coaching staff thought it was better for me to take a rest, so that's what I did... Gave it a go, and I guess I wasn't moving good enough for them, so they just pulled me.
"I'm playing Thursday [against the Indiana Pacers], yeah."
Without Ball, the Lakers collapsed to a worst-ever defeat to the Nuggets, losing 117-85 to fall to 11-9 for the season.
Lakers coach Luke Walton was more tentative regarding the 2017 draft second pick's status going forward.
"We'll probably get a better idea of what we're dealing with after this flight and into tomorrow," Walton said.
"He sprained his left ankle pretty good but he wanted to give it a go."
"The way he was moving out there, it just didn't feel right to leave him on the court so we got him out there."
