Four-time NBA champion Tony Parker has announced his retirement from basketball after an 18-year career.
The 37-year-old spent 17 years with the San Antonio Spurs, where he won all four of his titles in 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2014.
The point guard spent his final season in the NBA with the Charlotte Hornets but said on Twitter on Monday that he would be bringing his playing career to a close.
"It's with a lot of emotion that I retire from basketball, it was an incredible journey!" he said. "Even in my wildest dreams, I never thought I would live all those unbelievable moments with the NBA and the French National Team.
"Thank you for everything!"
Parker was a six-time NBA All-Star and was crowned NBA Finals MVP in 2007.
He reached the postseason every year of his career outside of his final season, where he was not a major part of Charlotte's rotation.
Parker started 1,151 regular season games and averaged 15.5 points and 5.6 assists per game. He also played in 226 playoffs games, averaging 17.9 points and 5.1 assists per game.
Parker retires as San Antonio's all-time leader in assists.
