The Jazz have failed to live up lofty pre-season predictions and currently sit outside the Western Conference playoff places.
They are currently languishing in 12th in the West with a record of 14-15. With the conference so closely contested, there is plenty of time to resurrect their postseason hopes.
The Magic (13-15) share a similar record to Utah but are far exceeding the low expectations many had for them this campaign.
Their center Nikola Vucevic claimed Eastern Conference player of the week honours in November after leading the Magic to signature wins over the Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Lakers.
In Aaron Gordon, Jonathan Isaac and Mo Bamba, the Magic boast a young trio of athletic big men capable of producing highlight plays at both ends of the floor.
Against the odds, Orlando currently occupy the final playoff place in the East and will be keen to keep their early season momentum going.
