Tour de France winner Chris Froome will head a strong Team Sky line-up for the upcoming Vuelta a Espana.
The 71st edition of the Spanish Grand Tour starts with a team time trial in Ourense on Saturday 20 August, before culminating with a sprinter-friendly finish in Madrid on Sunday 11 September.
And Froome will be looking to continue the momentum that has seen him claim a third Tour de France title this season, in addition to an Olympic time trial bronze medal last week.
Froome will be joined in Spain by Ian Boswell, Michal Golas, Pete Kennaugh, Christian Knees, Leopold Konig, Michal Kwiatkowski, Salvatore Puccio and late replacement David Lopez.
Froome said: "It's already been a great summer for both myself and the team, but the Vuelta is another big challenge for us.
"The tough course and stiff competition is bound to make for some aggressive racing. We're going there with a strong group of guys, who have a lot of experience with this race.
"The Vuelta is a race I really enjoy and where I guess you could say I have unfinished business, so I'm looking forward to getting started."
It has been a busy period for Froome and team principal Sir Dave Brailsford was asked if the Brit's schedule might take its toll,
"It's very difficult to tell to be honest," said Brailsford. "He obviously had a very tough Tour de France.
"I thought it was a very good performance actually to get that bronze medal in Rio. He looked like he needed that little bit of a freshen-up.
"The gamble for us is that he has enough time between the end of the Rio competition and the start of this next race. I think he just needs to ride into the race and manage that carefully.
"Fatigue is going to be the big issue. He will either have it in the legs or he'll struggle to hold on to the form. At this moment in time it's impossible to say but we are pretty confident."
