Ronda Rousey has spoken openly about her first defeat and admitted that opponent Holly Holm deserved the dramatic stoppage win.

Rousey lost her perfect record and her bantamweight title when Holm knocked her out with a head kick in the second round at UFC 93 in November.

The sport's leading lady has barely discussed her defeat in public, but briefly referred to the fight during an appearance on Saturday Night Live.

"This is the first time I'm talking to my fans since I lost to Holly Holm in November, which, by the way, was a fight Holly deserved to win," Rousey said.

"And I just wanted to take a minute to sincerely congratulate her."

When the crowd responded with a cheer, Rousey jokingly replied "that's enough" and the 28-year-old remained in light-hearted mood as she enjoyed her appearance away from the cage.
