Augusta is bracing itself for Tiger-mania and his supporters are talking up his chances

Tiger Woods fans believe the four-time Masters winner can slip on the Green Jacket for a fifth time.

Woods is back at Augusta after missing the opening major of the year through injury for the past two years and anticipation is rising by the day.

Ticket sellers are reporting unprecedented demand. A weekly pass is currently selling for around £7,000 while a ticket for the first round on Thursday is selling for nearly £3,000, double the price of last year.

The 14-time major championship winner is fit and firing again since coming back from spinal back fusion surgery, having initially feared his career may be over after an injury-plagued few years.

He's played five PGA Tour events this season, a runner-up finish at the Valspar Championship was the first of two top-five finishes in consecutive weeks.

Woods appears to be in a great frame of mind going into the Masters. He has noticed improvements in his game ahead of his major comeback and he said on his website: "It got a second chance on life. I am walking miracle. I'm just really looking forward to playing."

With Woods back and practising hard on the course he loves so much it is little wonder that excitement is growing rapidly ahead of his re-appearance on the first tee.
