Jordan Spieth cards quadruple bogey nine at the Masters

Jordan Spieth found more trouble at Augusta with a quadruple bogey nine for the second successive year

After his Masters misery last year, Jordan Spieth returned to Augusta and suffered another horror show on the back nine.

The American stood on the tee at the par-five 15th at level par after a bogey on 14 entering the final four holes of his round.

Traditionally one of the easiest holes on the course, Spieth proceeded to dump his third shot into the pond in front of the green before firing his next shot way over the green.

The 23-year-old then thinned his chip before taking three to putt out and drop a NINE onto his card - he recovered to card a birdie on the 16th before making par on the final two holes three-over-par 72.

It means the 2015 champion has now made three career quadruple bogies, with one in each of his last two rounds at the Masters.

Last year, Spieth saw a five-shot lead evaporate after another quadruple nine, this time at the par-three 12th.
