Sky Sports viewers have been treated to a glut of holes-in-one over the last month, and the trend continued with Chad Campbell's ace at the Farmers Insurance Open.
The former Ryder Cup star had slipped off the PGA Tour radar during the past couple of years, but he looks a resurgent figure at Torrey Pines and his perfect shot at the third on day three got him within a shot of the lead.
Campbell took dead aim at the pin at the picturesque 143-yard par-three and hit a soft draw with a wedge which pitched on the front fringe and took a couple of bounces before digging in, spinning left and rolling into the cup.
His third hole-in-one as a professional lifted him to eight under for the tournament, and his feat matches recent aces from the likes of Rory McIlroy, Miguel Angel Jimenez and Francesco Molinari.
