US Open champion Dustin Johnson is part of the next group, with Justin Rose and former world No 1 Adam Scott completing that threeball.
Last week's Pebble Beach winner Jordan Spieth kicks off Friday's coverage, where the world No 6 is grouped with defending champion Bubba Watson and Bill Haas.
The next trio in action sees world No 1 Jason Day begin his week alongside Justin Thomas and FedExCup leader Hideki Matsuyama.
