An unfortunate spectator finds a hazard at the Nedbank Challenge

By Keith Jackson

Thomas Aiken sees the funny side after watching a spectator take a tumble into a hazard at the Gary Player Country Club

Thomas Aiken managed to avoid one of the many hazards at the Gary Player Country Club with his drive down the eighth, but the same could not be said of a hapless spectator.

Aiken tugged his tee shot and missed the fairway to the left and, as he lined up a tricky second on the toughest hole on the course, he asked a handful of the gallery to move out of his path.

The fans duly got themselves out of harm's way, but one clearly did not see the danger ahead as he lost his footing and ended up tumbling into a bush next to the cart path.

His colleagues came to his rescue and managed to pluck him out of the hazard while Aiken, his caddie and his playing partners certainly saw the funny side.

However, as Nick Dougherty noted, it would not have been so funny had the spectator fallen onto a snake ... or worse!
