Here are all the dates and venues for all of golf's majors in 2022, along with the details for other significant events in the golfing calendar over the next 12 months...
The first two men's majors of the year and the opening women's major have already been contested - with all of them won by American players.
Jennifer Kupcho triumphed at the LPGA Tour's Chevron Championship in California, beating compatriot Jessica Korda by two strokes to land her maiden major championship.
Then, a week later, men's world No 1 Scottie Scheffler proved Augusta National's No 1, picking up his first major crown as he finished three shots clear of Rory McIlroy to win The Masters and claim the Green Jacket.
The victory was Scheffler's fourth title in two months, although he would go onto miss the cut in his next major start at the PGA Championship. There, Justin Thomas overturned a seven-stroke deficit during a dramatic final day at Southern Hills to win the Wanamaker Trophy for a second time.
Matt Fitzpatrick became golf's newest first-time major champion with a brilliant one-shot victory at the US Open, nine years on from winning the US Amateur at the same venue, before Cameron Smith added to the list of maiden major winners by claiming a one-shot victory over Cameron Young at The Open.
