In selected other groups, Bubba Watson begins the defence of his crown in the company of Justin Rose and Gunn Yang, while Tiger Woods starts alongside Jamie Donaldson and Jimmy Walker.
Jason Day partners Sergio Garcia and Rickie Fowler, while Ian Poulter will be joined by Keegan Bradley and Patrick Reed.
Elsewhere, Adam Scott, Dustin Johnson and Antonio Murdaca are playing together, with last year's runner-up Jordan Spieth partnering Henrik Stenson and Billy Horschel.
With 98 players in the field, Charley Hoffman and Brian Harman make up the first group out on Thursday, teeing-off at 7:45am local time which is five hours later regarding British Summer Time.
Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer will again act as honorary starters hitting tee shots at the par-four first hole before retiring to the clubhouse.
England's Danny Willett will begin his Masters debut in the second group at 7:56 am, alongside 1987 winner Larry Mize and US amateur public links champion Byron Meth.
The final group tees off at 1:59 pm and features three players ranked in the top 13 in the world, Australian Day, Spain's Garcia and Fowler.
Fowler finished in the top five in all four majors last year.
