An unsuspecting fan at the Honda Classic was left nursing a nasty cut on his head after he was hit by a wayward drive from Justin Thomas on day two.
Thomas pulled his drive too far left at the par-four 12th, although he was shouting at his ball to "get down" rather than yell "fore" to warn the many spectators lining the ropes at PGA National.
Some in the crowd sensed the danger and turned away, but the ball landed straight on the head of one unfortunate fan and cannoned towards the fairway of an adjoining hole.
Despite the painful blow, the gentleman appeared to have escaped serious injury and accepted Thomas' apologies as well as a signed glove from the reigning PGA and FedExCup champion.
But, as commentator Nick Dougherty observed, the fan deserved much more after not being warned by the player in the appropriate way.
