Wesley Bryan displayed blistering pace around Conway Farms as he completed his final round of the BMW Championship in less than an hour and a half.
With the field trimmed from 70 to 69 following the withdrawal of Danny Lee on Saturday, Bryan was first out on his own on Sunday after rounds of 76, 71 and 72 left him bottom of the leaderboard on six over par.
The American, who edged out Luke Donald to win the RBC Heritage title in April, had no chance of making the 30-man field for next week's season-ending Tour Championship, so he decided to end his season in some style.
Bryan was seen running between shots, throwing clubs at his caddie while receiving his next club in the air before taking off again, and he even removed the flags himself and occasionally holed out with his wedge to save time while his caddie raced to the next tee.
And the result? It is likely that Bryan would have received a rap on the knuckles had he played badly, but he recorded his best round of the week as he made three birdies and just one bogey in a two-under 69.
Bryan was flat on his back after closing with a birdie at the last, and his unofficial time was one hour, 29 minutes - which equates to around five minutes per hole.
His incredible effort eclipsed that of Kevin Na at last year's Tour Championship as the player renowned for being one of the slowest did his utmost to dispel that tag when he raced around East Lake in around two hours.
Bryan's round was so quick that the group behind him were still on the eighth hole when he picked his ball out of the cup at the 18th, although his score wasn't enough to lift him off the bottom of the leaderboard.
