Rory McIlroy makes his comeback from injury as part of a star-studded field at this week’s World Golf Championship event in Mexico, live on Sky Sports.
The world No 3 has been sidelined with a stress rib fracture since finishing runner-up to Graeme Storm at last month's SA Open, missing the Dubai Desert Classic and the Honda Classic.
The tournament features on the schedule under its new official title of WGC-Mexico Championship, having previously been known as the WGC-Cadillac Championship.
Field
Jason Day is the only player in the world's top 50 not scheduled to feature this week, with the world No 2 withdrawing due to a double ear infection and the flu.
World No 1 and 2015 champion Dustin Johnson headlines the field after sitting out of last week's Honda Classic, where Rickie Fowler claimed a four-shot victory, while former winners Patrick Reed and Justin Rose are also involved.
In-form Tyrrell Hatton will make a maiden appearance in the opening WGC of the year, fresh from a career-best finish on the PGA Tour at PGA National last week, with early-season European Tour winners Sam Brazel and Brandon Stone also making their WGC debuts.
Venue
After a decade of being held at the Donald Trump-owned Trump National Doral in Florida, the tournament has been switched to a new site in Mexico City.
Club de Golf Chapultepec will host a PGA Tour event for the first time this week, having previously hosted the Mexico Open on numerous occasions.
The course's high altitude will help players hit it further and leave players having to adapt their game to suit the conditions, with the clubhouse nearly 7,800 feet above sea level.
History
Adam Scott claimed a narrow one-shot win in last year's event, his second PGA Tour victory in as many weeks, as McIlroy's title challenge faded during the final round.
Scott's hopes had appeared over after two double-bogeys in his first five holes, but six birdies in a nine-hole stretch around the turn saw him take the title ahead of Bubba Watson.
McIlroy saw his three-shot overnight lead disappear over the front nine at Doral on Sunday, with bogeys at the seventh and ninth followed by another blemish at the 13th.
The Northern Irishman then birdied the 16th to close a two-over 74, but ended in a share of third alongside Danny Willett.
