Justin Rose was happy to be upstaged on a golf course as playing partner Justin Timberlake came agonisingly close to a hole-in-one at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
The Justins arrived on the tee at the short par-three seventh at Pebble Beach, one of the most photographed holes in the world of golf, and Rose took dead aim but came up 20 feet short of the pin.
Rose then snapped a selfie as Timberlake stood over his tee shot, and he was soon regretting not recording a full video as the superstar entertainer stared down his ball in mid-flight.
His ball almost hit the pin before it pitched a couple of feet beyond the hole and spun back, catching a piece of the cup but staying out and coming to rest just a foot away.
Timberlake soaked up the plaudits as he tapped in for birdie and Rose, who made a historic hole-in-one on his way to the Olympic gold medal in Rio last year, matched him as he rolled in his putt for his fourth birdie in five holes.
