Nacho Elvira slipped down the leaderboard during moving day at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, despite finishing his round in remarkable fashion.
Elvira will head into Sunday seven strokes adrift of compatriot Sergio Garcia, where he saved the best of his level-par 72 for the par-five last.
The Spaniard was even par for the day with three holes to play but posted back-to-back bogeys in fading light at the Emirates Golf Club, only to bounce back in remarkable fashion at the 18th.
With darkness descending to the point where it was almost impossible to see, Elvira found the green in two but still found his ball some way from the flag.
Elvira was forced to rely on memory as he attempted to read the green, which he did to perfection as he found the heart of the cup for eagle.
