Thorbjorn Olesen and Soren Kjeldsen produced a barrage of birdies on the back nine as they clinched Denmark's first ever victory in the World Cup of Golf in Australia.
Their overnight four-shot lead had been whittled down to one as they struggled to the turn level par for the round, but they regained control of the tournament with five birdies in six holes and another at the last completed a four-stroke win.
The United States, China, France and Sweden all threatened to overhaul the dominant Danes on the final day at Kingston Heath, but their late challenges fell short as the leaders found their form on the back nine.
Kjeldsen and Olesen played the last round alongside Rickie Fowler and Jimmy Walker, the pre-tournament favourites, and the quartet could only par the first five holes before breaking the shackles with matching birdies at the short sixth.
But the Danish pair then got into trouble at the long eighth and neither could save par, and their advantage was cut to a single stroke when Li Haotong birdied the 10th to take China to 12 under.
Kjeldsen responded with a superb 12-foot putt for a welcome birdie at the 10th with his partner already in close, and Olesen holed from eight feet on the next green to cancel out a Wu Ashun birdie for China.
France and Sweden suddenly entered the equation and overtook China as the main threat to the Danes, with Alex Noren and David Lingmerth reeling off four consecutive birdies from the 12th while Victor Dubuisson and Romain Langasque did the same for France.
Both teams had turned in 31 and the Swedes also birdied the 10th, and Noren then holed another from just off the green at the 17th to make it a three-way tie for second with France and the United States after Fowler followed a birdie at 12 with another at 13.
But Olesen displayed the form that propelled him to victory at the Turkish Airlines Open earlier this month, matching Fowler's three at 13 and producing a sublime up and down for another at the long 14th to emulate the birdies of France, Sweden and China.
Olesen then converted from 15 feet for birdie at the short 15th, and the 26-year-old finished off the victory with another 15-footer at the last to cap a round of 66 for a winning score of 20 under par.
France also birdied the last to return a 63 which earned them a share of second with China (65) and the United States, who were also six under for the final day.
Noren and Lingmerth posted the low round of the day, a 10-under 62 lifting the Swedes into outright fifth on 15 under, while the home pairing of Adam Scott and Marc Leishman closed with a 65 to join Ireland's Shane Lowry and Graeme McDowell on 11 under.
England's Chris Wood and Andy Sullivan had taken themselves out of contention when they dropped six shots over the last eight holes in Saturday's foursomes, but they combined for six birdies on the back nine 24 hours later as a 65 left them in a tie for 13th - 11 shots behind the champions.
