Fabrizio Zanotti makes the first hole in one in the 35-year history of the Nedbank Golf Challenge

Fabrizio Zanotti found the perfect way to take the lead early on the second day of the Nedbank Golf Challenge, as he made the first hole-in-one in the tournament's history.

Zanotti, playing alongside Race to Dubai leader Henrik Stenson, was one stroke off the pace when he arrived on the tee at the 210-yard par-three fourth hole at the Gary Player Country Club.

But the Paraguayan, who birdied the opening two holes, suddenly found himself in the outright lead after his well-struck seven-iron never left the target, his ball clearing the water hazard and pitching 10 feet short of the pin before rolling gently into the cup.
