Scott Hend endured problems extracting his ball from the trees on day three at Wentworth, and ended up playing his next shot from a few yards behind where he started!
Hend was two clear of the field before his game started to unravel at the 13th, where he pulled his drive way left of the fairway and faced a difficult task just to get his ball back onto the short grass.
But his attempted pitch-out was met with mild humiliation as his ball cannoned off a tree trunk a few feet ahead of him and flew back over his head before landing four yards behind him.
The Australian veteran managed to get back to the fairway at the second time of asking, and he salvaged some of his dented pride as he knocked a wedge to four feet and holed the putt to limit the damage to a bogey five.
