Butch Harmon takes Tim Barter through the changes he's made to Rickie Fowler's game, which Harmon believes will make him a great

Rickie Fowler may have suffered an early exit at the Farmers Insurance Open, but his coach Butch Harmon believes "the sky is the limit" for his young charge.

Fowler has made an impressive job of fulfilling his rich potential over the last nine months, starting with his dramatic play-off victory at the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass in May.

The colourful American also collected the Scottish Open title before outlasting Henrik Stenson at the Deutsche Bank Championship in the FedExCup Play-Offs.

Fowler upstaged Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy and Stenson to win in Abu Dhabi last week, but his travels could have been to blame for him missing the cut by a shot at Torrey Pines.

Harmon was hired by Fowler in 2014, and the renowned swing coach has played a crucial role in the 27-year-old rising to fourth in the world rankings.

Speaking to Tim Barter at the Sky Cart, Harmon said: "I think the sky is the limit for him. Last week we saw a great win for him in Abu Dhabi and he didn't even have his best stuff. I didn't think he played up to his best standard, but he was still able to win.

"He has so much more confidence in his own ability now, and ever since he won the Players Championship last year, he's been a different person. He knows how good he can be."
