Jordan Spieth enjoyed a welcome moment of good fortune on the ninth hole in Abu Dhabi, but it was a painful experience for one spectator.
Spieth was already two over for his second round when he arrived on the ninth tee, and his card looked certain to suffer another blemish when he pulled his drive left.
As the world No 1 shouted "fore" to warn a handful of spectators in the firing line, his ball appeared destined to end up in the large lake beside the fairway.
But one fan could not get out of the way in time, although this proved a bonus for Spieth as his ball cannoned into the man's backside and nestled in the rough.
At least the unfortunate member of the gallery and his companions saw the funny side, and so did Spieth when he managed to salvage an unlikely par four.
