Henrik Stenson cards fortunate birdie at the Nedbank Golf Challenge

Henrik Stenson got a stroke of good fortune on hole 9 as he punched the air and the ball fell into the hole.

Henrik Stenson may have cut a frustrated figure on several occasions during the third round of the Nedbank Golf Challenge, but the Swede had reason to smile after a piece of good fortune at the ninth.

The world 7 had already fluffed a chip at the second and dropped a shot at the eighth when he made his way to the par-five next, where Stenson only just managed to avoid the hazard as his ball somehow stopped between the edge of the green and rocks.

Better was still to come for Stenson after he pitched to 20 feet, even though his birdie putt appeared to have initially slowed up just short of finding the cup.
