Rickie Fowler and Thomas Pieters both sink birdie putts on the first hole to whip up the Hazeltine crowd on day two of the Ryder Cup.
Both teams in the opening pair would have been instructed to make a fast start in order to allow confidence and momentum to filter down to their team-mates playing behind them.
Fowler, playing with Phil Mickelson, trickled in a 20-footer from the back of the first tee to give the USA a birdie start.
However, rookie Pieters, playing with Rory McIlroy, followed suit, drilling in to the heart of the cup before putting the finger to his lips to silence the home crowd.
