A look back at the most memorable Masters moments over the back nine on Sunday at Augusta National

There are many who believe the Masters does not start until the back nine on Sunday, and there have been countless memorable moments down the stretch over the years.

We have put together a selection of the stand-out incidents in recent history at Augusta National, both good and bad, starting with the moment Rory McIlroy realised the game was up after his meltdown in 2011.

Jordan Spieth's calamitous quadruple-bogey at the 12th will be talked about for many years to come, although the great Seve Ballesteros finding water at the 15th when leading in 1986 continues to be overlooked in many cases.

That's because Jack Nicklaus went on to become the oldest Masters champion at the age of 46, aided by "that" putt at the 17th, and two years later we saw Sandy Lyle become the first British winner with his incredible fairway bunker shot and double-breaking putt at the 72nd hole.

Phil Mickelson amazed us once again with his sensational second to 13 from the pines in 2010, and who can forget what happened on the 16th in 2005, when a certain Tiger Woods played arguably the finest shot ever seen at Augusta.
