Edgar Prib capped off the Bundesliga season on a positive note for Hannover by sealing a 3-2 victory over Freiburg. Prib's strike came right at the conclusion of an end-to-end match, which saw Szabolcs Huszti score the opener from a free-kick before the break. Jonathan Schmid levelled for Freiburg before Artjoms Rudnevs restored the home side's lead. Philipp Zulechner equalised before Prib's winner gave Tayfun Korkut's Hannover team all three points. Freiburg started the game strongest and enjoyed the best of the chances. In the 16th minute, Vladimir Darida missed from six yards after a neat cut-back from Karim Guede. But Hannover had fired a number of warning shots from set-pieces, firstly, when Marcelo headed over, and Huzsti then shot wide on 33 minutes. One minute before half-time, though, the Hungarian curled in a fantastic 35-yard free-kick to boost the hosts into the lead. But despite Alexander Schwolow making a fine save from Lars Stindl after the restart, that lead only lasted less than two minutes. Darida showed some good skill on the left flank before picking out French attacker Schmid, who slotted home with composure. In the 66th minute, on-loan striker Rudnevs dribbled through the defence to strike home from 20 yards and fire the home side back in front. It seemed harsh on the Baden-Baden club to fall behind seeing as they had created the majority of the chances with some exciting attacking football. And they got their just rewards 12 minutes from time, substitute Zulechner bundling home at the near-post to equalise in scrappy fashion for Freiburg. Yet Hannover recovered inside 60 seconds to make it 3-2 when Prib was played in by Rudnevs and the midfielder finished low under Schwolow.Hannover end with three points
