Facey and Strachan secure three points for hosts

Delroy Facey and Gavin Strachan were on target as Notts County came from behind to beat Exeter 2-1 at Meadow Lane. Beaten in six of their last seven home games, County must have feared the worst when they fell behind after 26 minutes to a controversial penalty. Michael Johnson was adjudged to have tripped Adam Stansfield after an innocuous challenge on the left edge of the penalty area and Marcus Stewart sent Kevin Pilkington the wrong way with the resulting spot-kick. But Ian McParland's men responded well to equalise after 32 minutes. Jamie Clapham's cross presented Facey with a chance and although his first attempt was blocked by Dean Moxey, the much-travelled striker bundled in the rebound. Exeter twice went close to restoring their lead as Neil Saunders forced a fine save from Pilkington and Ryan Harley struck a post from 20 yards. But the Magpies edged in front after 39 minutes when midfielder Strachan arrived in the box with perfect timing to guide home a cross from Myles Weston. County had the better of the second-half chances, Adam Nowland hit the crossbar with a fine chip, and McParland's side were worthy winners.
