Toffees end tour on winning note
Leon Osman's late goal earned Everton a 2-1 win over Colorado Rapids in the last match of their US tour.
The win was the perfect response to their 2-0 defeat to Chicago Fire earlier this week.
Everton got off to a flying start when Mikel Arteta fired them in front after just six minutes with a fierce drive.
Colorado poured forward in search of an equaliser and Everton were indebted to Tim Howard for keeping them at bay.
The home side did draw level four minutes into the second half when Conor Casey slotted the ball under Howard.
The game looked set to end all-square until Osman, making his first start of the pre-season, popped up three minutes from time to score from close-range.
