Arsenal and Chelsea will meet each other for only the second time in an FA Cup final since 1993 - but both clubs have dominated the competition.
The clubs have now featured in a remarkable 16 out of 25 finals since 1993 and have lifted the trophy 13 times during that period.
During the Premier League era, Arsenal have been the most successful with seven wins and Chelsea are runners-up with six.
The Gunners have only failed to win a final once over the quarter of a century - losing 2-1 to Liverpool in 2001.
Chelsea have received the dreaded losers' medals on two occasions, suffering a 4-0 defeat to Manchester United in 1994 and losing 2-0 to Arsenal in 2002.
That defeat against Arsenal 15 years ago was the last time the two teams met in an FA Cup final, a game that saw John Terry omitted from the starting line-up after falling ill on the morning of the game.
This season, both clubs have had contrasting seasons, with Antonio Conte looking to cap his title-winning season and counterpart Arsene Wenger seeking to salvage his after finishing outside the top four.
Since 1872, the Gunners and Manchester United have won the competition more times than any other club with 12 wins each - while Chelsea have won seven.
